Component : Side Sill
- A new structural component is designed to manage-conduct side impact energy
- Virtual analysis and physical tests are correlated and the max intrusion&acceleration into the safety cage are optimized with the geometry.
- Conventional steel material and processes are used within the study

- Section of the component is optimized with the safety and process feasibility parameters
- Additional reinforcement parts are integrated to main part.
- Assembly sequence of the body parts are used as a design input.
- Thanks to structurl optimisation no need for an additional crash absorber under the B Pillar structure
